Stevia and Candida Albicans

Gepost door admin op 14/05/2008

Candida Albicans, a diploid fungus (a form of yeast) is the causal agent of opportunistic infections in humans, the most common being oral and vaginal infections. But, I would like to add that not only women suffer from Candida but also men in a variety of forms.

Among the many organisms that live in the human mouth and digestive tract is the yeast Candida Albicans, which under normal circumstances lives in 80 percent of the human population with no harmful effects generally, although overgrowth results in Candidiasis. Candidiasis. Candidiasis is commonly known as “thrush”, and is a common condition that is usually easily cured in most people.

Health symptoms and complications of Candida may include: bladder infections, energy loss, puffy eyes, fatigue, food cravings, hay fever, heartburn, hyperactivity, inflammation, itching, insomnia, migraine, mouth infections, rashes, sore throat, thrush and thyroid problems.

As well as anti-fungal drugs and eliminating antibiotics, diet is an important part of most Candida treatment programs. The purpose of a Candida reduction diet is to eliminate sugary starchy foods that “feed” the yeast infestation, by sticking with a restricted foods list. Once you get on the anti-candida diet you can expect to see an improvement within 2-4 weeks. Once you have the Candida under control then you can slowly start adding restricted foods back into your diet.

Here are a few tips for sticking with a Candida reducing diet.

Try to eliminate your carbohydrate intake. Sugars are what feeds Candida. So it is important to minimize or eliminate carbohydrate intake for a while.

Reduce food that contain yeast. Foods that contain yeast should be completely eliminated. These are foods like, bread, beer, wine, cheese.

Eliminate dairy from your diet. Dairy foods should be removed from the diet because Candida can reduce the body’s ability to digest fats which can result in a build up of fatty acids in your system. You don’t want that.

Stay away from mushrooms, Brie and moldy or mold-containing foods. This will exacerbate your Candida.

Stop eating processed and packaged foods if you haven’t already. These foods and drinks are loaded with sugar, high glycemic carbohydrates, yeast or other ingredients that will feed the Candida.

The biggest thing to remove is sugar. Remove it from your diet completely. Sugar feeds yeast like nothing else. Start reading food labels and if you see anything that ends in “ose” such as maltose, dextrose, sucrose or even maltodextrin stay away from it. Basically anything that tastes sweet with the exception of stevia, don’t eat it.

Using pure Stevioside - white stevia powder, a natural plant extract that is around 200 - 300 times sweeter than sugar can satisfy you craving for sweets. You can add stevia to hot or cold beverages as well as using it for cooking and baking.

Here are a few tips when using stevia.

When baking with pure stevia powder mix 1/8 of a teaspoon with 1 cup of unsweetened apple sauce. Because stevia is 250 times sweeter than sugar you lose a lot of volume from replacing the sugar.

When recipes ask for brown sugar you can use an equal amount of Steviva Brand Stevia Blend with 2 tablespoons of molasses added. If you are not using the blend and need a brown sugar substitute then you can use 1 cup of unsweetened apple sauce 1/8 of a teaspoon of Steviva Brand Stevia Powder and 2 tablespoons of molasses.

I would like to add that aside from eliminating sugar, grains, fruits and high glycemic carbohydrate you should drink at least 4 quarts of clean filtered water. Drinking copious amounts of water. flushes the Candida out of your system as well as aiding in stabilizing blood sugar level. Instead of soft drinks or powdered drink mixes that are loaded with chemicals and sugar, I suggest is adding the juice of half a lemon to 32 ounces of water with a sprinkle of Steviva Brand Stevia Powder. Aside from being less than 2 carbs, you will get the health benefits that the stevia provides along with the vitamin C and electrolytes that lemon have. You can substitute limes for lemons if you get bored and break the routine even more by adding a little unsweetened cranberry juice.

A Close Shave Without the Nicks and Cuts

Men’s skin is shaven 6000 times over an average life time! So it is very important that men too look after their skin to avoid premature aging of the skin. After all, men like to look good too for as long as we can, don’t we?

Shaving is a male thing, well for the most part any way. Around the age of 14 is usually the time when beards start to grow and the ‘knife’ comes out. These days it’s a Gillette razor or some other brand.

There are some basic principles that all you men should know about their skin and how to best conquer the shaving process.

It sounds easy enough, hey just put some shaving gel on your face and using a razor, take it off again, simple, how hard could it be?

The problem is not that the act of shaving is in itself difficult, it’s not, but unfortunately the skin can very much be a problem. If shaving is not done correctly, you could end up looking a bloody mess and have blotchy irritated skin and that is not a good look with which to impress the girls.

So, here’s how to get it right from the start.

Before we start, shave in the shower. The warm water will open the facial pores and this promotes a better, closer shave. Also, there is less risk of nicks and cuts if your skin is warmed by the hot water in the shower.

Ok, let’s get stated:

Step 1
An exfoliant; this gets rid of dead skin cells, which lifts your stubble and gives a closer shave, leafing your skin smooth and looking well groomed. Wildcrafted’s Skin Renewal Gel is perfect for this job.

Step 2
Prepare the canvas; use the Vitalising Shaving Gel. This product combines pre-shave oiling of the skin and a shaving crme. This helps you to get a smooth shave and prevents nicks and cuts. Once you have applied Wildcrafted’s Vitalising Shaving Gel to your face, work it into lather and start shaving.

Step 3
Shaving; the best razor is one that lets you use a light stroke and you don’t need to push down too hard. Gillette’s M3 fits the bill, but there are other’s of similar quality. Using a brush will help lift the bristles and allow you to shave even closer, but your hands will do the job too.

Step 4
Nicks and cuts? Wildcrafted’s Vitalising Shaving Gel leaves a residue on your skin even after you have finished shaving, which contains essential oils that disinfect and help repair the skin. Just leave it on your face while you finish having a shower, then rinse it off.

Step 5
Moisturise. This is a must. After you have finished your shower, apply the Ginseng Hydrator. If you have a shiny skin, use the Ginseng Hydrator for Oily skin, if it looks dry and or dull, use the Ginseng Hydrator for Dry skin, else use the one for Normal skin.

Step 6
Restore. Once a week, use a natural clay mask to help your skin heal from the taxing process of shaving. The Earth Medicine Facial Clay range contains soothing minerals and oils to calm shaving irritation.

So there you have it. Shaving is easy and painless, as long as you follow the steps above, you should not have any trouble getting your stubbles under control. Remember, use the shower to shave, it really does help immensely as well as save you time and also helps you to do a better job.

Deception Wrinkle Cream

New Cosmetic Product Makes Wrinkles Almost Invisible to the
Naked Eye!

Watch this recent ABC News clip and see the results for
yourself! An ndependent news organization persuaded two
volunteers to try the product and tell them what they thought
about it!

What’s going on here?

Is this some kind of magic? No, -it’s not magic. It’s science
which seems like magic.

The main ingredient in Deception is made from something called
“emu oil”. I’ll tell you about emu oil in a moment… but
first… let me tell you what creates the “magic” effect.

This is the best triple-refined emu oil in the world. And, an
extra ingredient is added to it while it is being made into a
cream. This extra ingredient is a suspension of superfine
silicon dioxide nanoprisms which has been “fractionated” instead
of powderized. That means instead of turning into flakes when it
is processed… it turns into…

Billions of Microscopic Three-Dimensional Nanoprisms! So what?

Here’s “so what.” Almost nobody knows this… but… the human
eye cannot see a wrinkle. What the eye sees is actually the
shadow made by the wrinkle. And, since all those billions of
microscopic nanoprisms refract light, when you use Deception…

There are No Shadows to See!

This effect will last until you wash your face and the invisible
silicon dioxide is removed. And get this: Remember how I told
you the main ingredient in this cosmetic cream is made from emu
oil? Well, it turns out emu oil is probably the best cosmetic
ingredient in the world. That’s because its molecules are much
smaller than the molecules in human skin. Because of this, emu
oil can…

Penetrate Down Through Seven Layers of Human Skin!

This makes it the best moisturizer in the world.

And here’s more good news! The reason you get wrinkles in the
first place is, as you get older, you start losing the collagen
in your skin. Can you guess what emu oil does?

Women as Catholic Priests: The Time for Change is Now

Gepost door admin op 19/03/2008

In ancient Rome, the cradle of democracy, women had no rights.
Their place was in the home under the custody and control of the
master of the house, which would often be the husband or father.
Her job was to take care of the house and family. She had no
vote, could not govern, nor even conduct her own affairs without
the oversight of a man. These are actions viewed as crude and
uncivilized by today’s standards.

However, even during these primitive times of democracy women
were still allowed to be priestesses in Rome. The Vestal Virgins
were honored and revered by men and women alike for their years
of sacrifice and service to the Goddess Vesta. So how is it that
over two thousand years later, the Catholic Church still refuses
to ordain women for service in the Church as priests?

Admittedly, it has been only very recently that most of humanity
has decided to allow women the privilege of being acknowledge as
an equal with men. In fact, it is only within the last century
that American women have been allowed to vote or hold a
political position. However, during this time women’s rights
have made significant advances. Women now work outside the
house, hold political office - even at a national level, have
ready access to equal education, and yes, they even conduct
religious services in many religions.

Even Jewish congregations have women serving as rabbis. In fact,
a woman was recently selected to replace the retiring male rabbi
of a conservative congregation with over 500 families. This is a
first for Conservative Judaism, which ordained its first female
rabbi in 1985.

I have the utmost respect for Scripture and its importance in
society, so I do recognize the passage from the Apostle Paul
requiring women to be silent in churches and saying it is
disgraceful for a woman to speak in church. Paul instructs the
women to wait till they get home to ask their husbands any
questions they may have about the service. (1 Corinthians
14:33-35)

Having acknowledged the importance of Scripture, my reverence
for the Bible, and my knowledge of Paul’s teaching; I now admit
that I vehemently disagree with the sexism of this passage.

I think it is important to recognize the culture from which Paul
is speaking. In fact, Paul was a Roman citizen. He was raised in
the type of backward culture we have already acknowledged as
crude and uncivilized by today’s standards and his remarks on
this subject are no doubt a result of his cultural upbringing.

The Church has always accommodated change as humanity has grown
and matured. Even Pope John Paul II, who passed this week, met
with the leaders of countries who were far from Christian. He
met with Islamic leaders, Jewish leaders, and even rock stars
like Bono from U2. These are all people the Church would have
condemned or even burned at the stake for their heretical
beliefs or ungodly actions during The Middle Ages.

Likewise, it is time for the Catholic Church to mature to the
level of accepting that women are equally viable as a candidate
for priesthood as men. The times of believing women are on a
lesser plane - whether intellectually, socially, or spiritually
- are long over and the Vatican would do well to acknowledge
this fact.

The Church’s churlish remarks on women serving in the role of a
priest are dated and a clear demonstration of the need for a
more progressive Pope that will be more responsive to the
changing times and to the disenfranchised women of the Catholic
Church, whose ministerial participation has dropped
significantly over the last few decades.

I pray the soul of Pope John Paul II finds peace and comfort in
the Kingdom of Heaven. He deserves so much for his sacrifice and
service to the Church and to God,

I also pray the next Pope will override John Paul II’s remarks
on women in the priesthood and allow the Church step into the
21st century. If this happens, perhaps one day we will have a
female Pope. Now that would be something to praise God about.
