How to Burn More Calories To Lose Weight

Gepost door admin op 10/06/2008

Copyright 2006 Adrian Bryant

The number of calories you burn exercising depends on three factors:

1. Your Bodyweight

2. How Long you Exercise

3. How Hard you Exercise

Body Weight

The biggest factor in determining how many calories you burn exercising is your bodyweight. The good news is that the more you weigh the more calories you will burn while working out. The reason for this is very simple-a heavier person has to use more energy (burn more calories) to move themselves around.

A 250lb person will lose weight at a quicker rate than a 150lb person. For example if a 250lb and 150lb person both went dancing for 30min the 250lb person would burn 350 calories while the 150lb person would only burn 200 calories.

What would the 150lb person have to do to burn the same amount of calories as the 250lb person did dancing in 30 minutes? That 150lb person would simply have to:

* Exercise Longer -OR- * Exercise harder

Workout Time

One way for the 150lb person to burn the same amount of calories as the 250lb person did dancing is to dance longer. If the 150lb person dances for 30min they will burn only 200 calories but if they danced for 60min they would burn 400 calories.

The longer you workout the more calories you will burn.

You’ll burn more calories if you walk 3 miles instead of 2 or if you clean up your entire house instead of just cleaning the kitchen.

You can also burn the same amount of calories that you do in 30 minutes of exercise by splitting it up into 3 shorter 10-minute exercise sessions done throughout the day. Doing this has the same effect that eating 6 small meals does (see page 28 in Weight Loss made Easy).

Doing a lot of mini-workouts throughout the day also keeps your metabolism elevated throughout the day. Mini-workouts are good for people who are short or time or have funny schedules.

You can also split a 60-minute exercise session into three 20-minute sessions or six 10-minute sessions. A 45-minute workout could become three 15-minute exercise sessions. Whatever you decide to do to split up workouts try to keep them at least 10min of longer to get any real weight loss benefits.

You don’t have to exercise longer to burn more calories there is one more factor you can manipulate when comes to burning calories.

* Exercising Harder

What if that 150lb person can’t stay and dance for 30min but only has about 20min to dance-what can they do to burn 350 calories or more in 20minutues? One solution is for them to increase the intensity of their workout activity.

In this case the 150lb person would have to dance a little faster or change their intensity from a low to moderate/high intensity. The higher the intensity of a workout the more calories you will burn.

You will burn more calories walking at 6mph pace than you would walking at 4mph pace. The good thing about increasing workout intensity is that you don’t have to workout for a long time to burn the same amount of calories working out at a lower intensity.

You would burn about the same amount of calories if you walked at 6mph pace for 30min and walked at 4mph pace for 45min.

There are 3 ways you can determine how hard you are working: 1. Talk test Low intensity if you can sing your favorite song or carry on an uninterrupted conversation while exercising, then you’re exercising at a low intensity

Moderate-High intensity If you can’t sing your favorite song and can only carry on an interrupted conversation (a conversation where you can only respond) then you are working out at a moderate intensity. Speech that is somewhat labored with a little huffing and puffing is a good test of exercising at a moderate-high intensity.

High-Very high intensity Can’t talk at all. Have to stop and catch you breathe are signs that you may be working TOO hard at very high intensities.

2. 1-10 scale

Rate your level of intensity on a scale of 1-10. With 1 being sitting on a couch watching TV and 10 being you exercising Too hard.

Rate anything that’s a 2-4 as low intensity, 5-7 as moderate-high intensity and 8-10 being high-very high intensity.

3. Sweat Test

No sweat. No problem! Low intensity

Breaking a sweat. Sweat appears on the normal places on your shirt around your collar and armpits moderate-high intensity

If you can ring a gallon of sweat from your shirt after exercising then you are working too hard at a high-very high intensity

You would have to consistently work out for 45-90 minutes everyday to start seeing any weight loss results from doing only Low intensity activities, about 30-45 minutes for moderate-high intensity activities, and 15-30min for high-very high intensity activities

You can get an idea of how many calories you are burning when doing certain workout activities by using the WEIGHT LOSS CALCULATOR.

You will see that the more you weigh the more calories you will burn when doing any workout activity and you will also notice that the amount calories you burn will vary depending on the activity.

Medical coding training is widely available; however, it is not always easy to find a program that is of good quality. To begin with, virtually all of the training curriculum centers almost completely on academic training which is necessary, of course. However, for a program to be truly effective, it must also include opportunities to learn in the field through realistic, hands on experience. This is crucial to a student’s career preparation.
We suggest choosing a flexible medical coding program that offers at-home course study on one’s own time, at one’s own pace, without having to give up paid employment.
While you might think that spending the time and the money to complete a medical training course isn’t for you, it is nevertheless, the best way to learn this skill and to gain decent employment.
Withdrawing from one program to join another one can be extremely difficult, and very costly, so which program to choose is a very important decision. You will want to get it right the first time. So, to help you make an educated decision, what are some things that are including in a good medical coding training program? And what makes a good school?
In reality, the most important thing is getting a job as soon as you have completed your program. All that is required in order to get a job is to study to become a proficient medical coder. This is a great program that emphasizes real world applications.

Find Out Which Special Diet Will Work For You

For those people who are about to go on a diet, there are a few things that they need to know about dieting. It has been estimated that in the United States that over 44 percent of the population suffer from obesity. So now more than ever a lot of people are trying to find effective methods to lose weight.

Nowadays diets are all the rage. There are so many methods of dieting that have come out, and have claimed to be the most effective way to lose weight.

But the problem with this is that most of these diets are just fads, and end up hurting individuals rather than helping them lose weight! Some diets tend to rob too much nutrients from a person’s dietary plan by cutting too much calories off of their meals!

It is important to remember that every person is different, and has his/her own dietary needs. This is why it is vital to find the special diet that works for you!

Here’s a list of the different types of special diets that have become popular:

Diet Shakes- Basically this is a meal substitute that comes in fluid form. Instead of eating, those who want to lose weight drink diet shakes in place of a meal. The problem with diet shakes is that some dieters are not satisfied with just having a diet shake for their meal. They constantly have to battle food craving.

Diet meals that are prepackaged- These are low fat meals that have been prepackaged and follow a strict calorie count. Portions of these meals are also moderated. The great thing about this dietary plan is that meals are healthy and nutritious. Plus, they are convenient since it has already been prepared. But the downside to this type of diet is that it tends to be very expensive. Especially if individuals plan to stay to this type of eating plan for long periods of time.

Low carb diet- This is a special type of dietary plan that restricts a person’s intake of carbohydrates. Dieters have to undergo phases in which they have to avoid specific foods, such as those that are high in carbohydrates like breads, pastries, cakes and pies.

Medical experts have stated that carbohydrates have a tendency to stimulate
a person appetite. During various phases in this diet, dieters are only allowed to eat certain foods that come from different types of food group. Serving portions are also moderated.

Those who undergo this type of dietary program are also educated about nutritional values of foods. They are also given a list of all the foods that they can incorporate into their diet. Low carb diet requires individuals to change their eating plan. In order for this to work individuals have to be extremely dedicated in sticking to their dietary meal plans.

There are a number of books that have been written about the merits of a low carb diet. There are also hundreds and hundreds of low carb recipes that are online. So for those who want to know more about this diet, or just want ideas for their next meal, they can do some research on the net to acquire more information about this special type of diet.

Tips on choosing the right diet that works for you

1. Before undergoing any type of diet individuals must first do some research and learn everything they can about the diet the they are about to incorporate in their lifestyle.

2. Those who have a pre-existing medical condition should first consult their doctor before undergoing any type of diet.

3. If individuals feel some physical discomfort a few days after trying out a new diet, they should immediately stop this diet and consult their physician.

4. Be realistic. Special diets that claim to help you lose ten pounds in a week is not a practical method! If anything this kind of diet endangers your health!

Dieting to lose weight is a big issue with many people. But when choosing a method a person has to remember to always be practical. Dieting should be done safely, and should never post any risks to the person who wants to lose weight. Maintaining health should always be a top priority when it comes to dieting.

Introduction

One of the primary concerns of a growing number of men the world over is finding a diet and exercise plan that will assist in ensuring that they are in optimal health. In recent years, a significant number of men have found themselves attracted to the Mediterranean diet. These men have come to learn that the Mediterranean is a solid choice for assisting them in developing a comprehensive regimen for health living.

There are a number of reasons why the Mediterranean diet is proving itself to be good for men of all ages.

1. The Mediterranean Diet Reduces the Risks of Some Serious Diseases

Over the course of the past thirty years, a number of research studies have been conducted pertaining to the Mediterranean diet regimen. These studies have produced results that demonstrate that the Mediterranean diet can prove effective in reducing the incidence of a number of serious diseases and ailments in men.

The diseases in men that the Mediterranean diet appears to help prevent include:

– cancer

– heart and cardiovascular disease

– hypertension

– gallstones

– stroke

– diabetes

2. The Mediterranean Diet is Effective in Helping Men Reach and Keep an Ideal Weight

Many men are confronting problems related with being overweight and obesity. Indeed, in some countries, obesity is becoming the number one health concern amongst men of all ages.

Because the Mediterranean diet includes the consumption of generous portions of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean meats, the diet can be very effective in assisting a man in bringing his weight down do a healthy, ideal level.

In addition to assisting men in fighting obesity and bringing their weight down to a healthy level, the Mediterranean diet is effective in aiding men to maintain a healthy weight over time. While it is one thing for a person to be able to lose weight, it is a completely different challenge for a man to be able to keep weight off over the long term. The Mediterranean diet has proven itself time and again as being a solid dietary program through which a person can maintain a healthy weight.

3. The Mediterranean Diet — Adding Years to a Man’s Life

Throughout history, the males who have populated the region in and around the Mediterranean Sea have been found to live lives longer than their counterparts in other parts of the world. In time, experts in the field of nutrition were able to demonstrate that men in the Mediterranean region lived longer because of their diets.

Scientists and other researchers have been able to demonstrate that there are positive, cumulative effects associated with the Mediterranean diet. In other words, by utilizing and following the Mediterranean diet over time, a man’s life (in many instances) will be extended. In addition to having the chance to live a longer life because of dietary decisions, a man’s life will be healthier and more robust because of his adherence to the Mediterranean diet scheme.

Conclusion

Over the course of generations, the Mediterranean diet has proven itself an effective means of:

– preventing serious diseases

– maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle

– prolonging life (in a healthy fashion)

As a result, when it comes to a stable, reliable and effective diet program, more and more men the world over are finding themselves turning to and relying upon the Mediterranean diet in the 21st century.

Prevent Cancer: Dont Let Terrorist Cells Take over Your Body

Gepost door admin op 19/05/2008

Cancer starts in a very small way when one cell changes in a significant way, becomes a minor criminal and stops obeying the normal rules of cell order and behavior. It is very much like the situation in Society when one person decides to break the rules and behave in an antisocial way. At first there may be a very minor disruption but there is only so much that one petty criminal can do on his or her own. However, if the criminal builds up a group with identical antisocial values and behaviors and then this group expands and adopts extra negative characteristics, eventually the group can start creating havoc. That havoc first occurs within a localized area but in time if the group grows in strength, the disruption can start having impact at national and even international levels.

Metastatic, invasive cancer, is the equivalent of a terrorist organisation causing major disruptions to a nation’s transport and communication systems. It may take over key functions and eventually bring the nation to its knees.

Cancer starts when the genetic material of a single cell is damaged. In most cases this damage has no effect until that cell divides into two cells. At this stage the cell might have the ability to break one of the body’s critical rules. Having broken the first rule, the cell might be able to continue to divide forming 4 and then 8 renegade cells.

The body, like Society, has a Police Force. It is called the Immune System. It has some ability to recognize misbehaving cells but like a Police Force it might not recognize minor misdemeanors. In fact the Immune System might not be alerted that a problem is brewing until the renegade cells step further out of line. In biological terms, this might occur when the cells undergo further changes and start breaking more rules. The initial rebel cells are likely to step out of the picture at this stage whilst later generations of despot cells start to wreck havoc.

Using this analogy it is easy to see that cancer has the following characteristics:

  • It starts with a single cell. The genes of that normal cell are changed in some important way by a process that is called MUTATION (a word that means change). This change affects one of the many systems relating to the rules of cell behavior. Since there are a great many different systems controlling cell behavior, there are a great many different mutations that can occur.
  • The single altered cell has no impact until it divides. This stage of the process is called CANCER PROMOTION. A group of renegade cells is formed but at the early stage these cells might not have broken enough rules for them to be recognized by the body’s Immune System.
  • Like criminals, renegade cells tend to progress to a worse stage. This progression occurs through the destabilization of cell division and is called CANCER PROGRESSION. During this phase the population of cells is able to try out many different rule breaking activities. Under these unstable conditions the “gang” of cells throws up a variety of combinations of bad behavior until it finds the ones that best defeat the surveillance systems.

In order to prevent cancer, we need to understand all the environmental and lifestyle factors that affect these activities of renegade cells. Many of these are already known. There has been a great deal of research into these matters but generally it is not explained in a simple enough manner. It is possible both to identify and avoid the factors that promote each one of these stages and it is also possible to eat certain foods or adopt certain behaviors to counteract these activities. Understanding is power.

Dr Judy Ford,an internationally respected geneticist has undertaken considerable research into causes of cancer, and the steps that can be undertaken to prevent cancer or greatly reduce personal risk. Dr Ford worked for 30 years in Cancer Research, specializing in how genetic material can be damaged by some chemicals and radiations. She also contributed a great deal to knowledge about how cells misdivide. She now works as a Science Communicator, explaining Science in lay terms and showing people how to modify their lifestyles to reduce their risks of cancer.

Treatment - Pharmaceutical or Holistic?

Gepost door admin op 17/05/2008
Toegevoegd onder: Medical Management

All treatment based on pharmaceutical products proceeds from the study and treatment of symptoms, categorised pretty much in isolation as evidence of separate “diseases”.

Western medicine has built a vast repertory of observed symptoms, and a vast array of unnatural products tailored by chemical companies to prevent these symptoms from manifesting. We even have comparatively simple conditions, like heartburn, being labelled as “diseases” to bring them within the scope of the prescription drugs industry.

The word “cure” is a misnomer when applied to drugs and disease. Drugs suppress symptoms, which are the body’s way of ridding itself of underlying illness. This drives the problem deeper into the tissues for the cells to cope with in some other way, which leads to big trouble at a later date. Drugs may offer a “quick fix”, but the price paid in side effects and long-term illness is enormous, affecting both quality and length of life.

Published “causes of death” statistics are many and varied. You will never find among them a figure for the thousands of people whose lifespan and quality of life are slowly destroyed by pharmaceutical drugs. When their lives end, cause of death is simply recorded as the “disease” they were being treated for, or one of its “side effects”.

What Holistic Really Means

While modern western medicine excels at treating emergencies and injury, it has lost the plot completely when it comes to treating illness and disease. All disease manifestations are the result of the same basic “dis-ease” condition of the body. In reality, before the rise of drugs, many natural treatments were used successfully for centuries to set the body’s chemistry to rights.

These methods were intended to restore the body’s correct pH, supply the nutrients required to correct the underlying imbalance in the body tissues, return the body to proper health, and so enable it to deal with whatever symptoms were present.

The “diseases” mindset obscures the fact that all symptoms are manifestations of an underlying defective condition of the whole body caused by -

Inadequate nutrition resulting in a weakened body structure (at both tissue and cellular levels) and decreased immune function; and

External factors such as toxins and stress.

It is true that the body has countless ways of manifesting sickness. The reason diseases seem so many and varied is because -

Each body breaks down at its weakest link - and in each individual that weakest link will be determined by heredity (genetic factors) and nutrition (eating habits);

Each individual experiences toxins or stresses peculiar to his or her own lifestyle (e.g. cigarette smoke, asbestos fibers, timber treatment chemicals or whatever). These toxins and stresses can produce different effects on the system.

When one realises that our categorized diseases are simply varied manifestations of an imbalance in the body chemistry, it becomes easier to understand what holistic medicine and treatment is about.

Body pH and Organic Nutrients

Body pH is the indicator of the acid-alkaline condition of the blood. It is the most important single factor to be corrected before healing can proceed. This can be achieved in a number of ways, but primarily by avoiding acid-producing foods, correcting mineral deficiencies, and supplying the correct balance of healthy foods.

The following foods are the worst culprits in producing acid reactions in the body and are the cause of much illness and disease in the western world:
white flour, white sugar, common salt, soft drinks, artificial colorings and flavourings, over-consumption of red meat and animal fats, hydrogenated fats, deep-fried fats, alcohol, and cigarette smoking.

Consider the average western diet and you will realise why illness and disease are rampant killers in the west, where many people’s daily food consumption comprises almost exclusively the above products. Consider also that in many third-world countries the introduction of the western diet has been followed by a rising incidence of western disease.

Rebuilding and Healing

The holistic approach to healing starts by avoiding all foods that produce acid conditions in the body. Many of these foods are so lacking in nutritive value that they deplete the body’s vitamins, minerals and enzymes. The body has to dig into its own store to find the elements necessary for digestion, and very often, because of the poor state of our food today, that store has reached rock bottom.

In supplying what our bodies really need for the rebuilding and healing processes, the prime consideration is usability. Minerals are the body’s ground-floor building blocks and recent research now shows that mineral supplements MUST be supplied in a form the body can utilise. This is not found in pulverized rock, or in colloidal minerals. In both of these, the particle size is simply too large for our cells to utilise efficiently. The maximum our cells can derive from these sources is about 3%. The unused residue of these minerals is dumped somewhere in the system, where it adds to the burden the body is already carrying.

What our cells really need is organic (i.e. angstrom sized) minerals - because these are what the body was designed to use. The organic, angstrom particle size is actually 10,000 times smaller than a micron.

Minerals in plants and fruits are naturally angstrom sized, and this is the reason why so many of today’s natural plant formulations are helping people with health problems.

You will notice that all of these natural products have one element in common - they are not the end product of our modern agricultural systems. This is because the depleted nature of our agricultural soils can no longer provide the minerals and trace minerals our bodies need in the quality and proportions they were designed for. Without a single exception, all of these new products are derived either from the sea, or from virgin soils that still retain their life-giving nutrients.

This is a huge lesson that we need to learn, and learn quickly. Unnatural chemicals are destroying our world, and they are destroying us.

Winning at Post-Natal Weight Loss: Six Simple Strategies for New Moms — Part 3

Gepost door admin op 16/05/2008
Toegevoegd onder: Medical Management

A healthy pregnancy almost always involves weight gain. But now
that baby’s here, you’re probably wishing those extra pounds
would hurry up and disappear! While it won’t happen overnight,
these six simple tips can help you lose that extra weight in a
healthy way. (If you’re looking for parts 1 and 2 of this
article, you can find them both at
http://www.mambomoms.com/articles.html)

5) Get moderate exercise on a regular basis. Of course, you
should get the go ahead from your doctor first, and you will
likely need to wait longer if you’ve had a caesarean birth, but
most new moms can begin a gentle fitness program very soon after
their baby is born.

Exercise is definitely one of those things that most of us feel
obligated to do and few of us seem to enjoy. In fact, for many
moms, having a new baby seems to be a great excuse not to
exercise. After all, you’re legitimately busy, sleep-deprived,
and probably a bit nervous about leaving your precious bundle
with someone else while you head to the gym. But wait! Who ever
said you had to pump iron, punch a bag or jump around in a
fitness class for an hour to get your exercise?

The whole key to sticking with a fitness program is to choose an
activity you enjoy. If you enjoy hiking outdoors, why not invest
in a baby carrier so you and your baby can do this together?
There are all kinds of baby trailers on the market now so your
baby can join you on a bike ride or even a cross country ski
outing if these are activities you enjoy. If swimming is fun for
you, why not offer to take a friend’s teenager to the pool. She
can sit close by with your baby on the pool deck while you do a
few lengths, and then you and your baby can enjoy a leisurely
lunch or cup of tea while the teen gets a chance to play in the
pool in return for helping you out. Yoga classes for moms and
babies are also popular now, and this can be a very enjoyable
and relaxing way to spend time with your baby while you exercise.

For the new mom who wasn’t active before pregnancy, gentle forms
of exercise such as taking a stroll are ideal. If you can find
another new mom close by to share this time with, your walks
will become a pleasant activity that you look forward to,
instead of part of your dreaded post-natal fitness program. If
your health unit or community nursing program offers a drop in
program for new moms you will be able to connect with other moms
there. Or perhaps you’ve stayed in touch with a mom you met in
your pre-natal classes. As you start to feel more energetic you
can increase the length and the intensity of your walks. Ans if
the weather is bad you can always walk around the mall and enjoy
the sights.

Gentle dancing or rocking while holding your baby is also
excellent exercise that both of you can enjoy. When your baby is
fussy or tired and nursing her doesn’t seem to be helping, why
not put on some music and introduce her to your favourite dance
steps? She won’t mind if you don’t get the steps right, she’ll
just enjoy being close to you while you move, and you’ll get the
fitness benefits. Most babies will enjoy dancing with you even
when they’re not tired and cranky. As she gets older your dance
dates will probably be greeted with giggles and squeals of
delight.

Remember though that moderation in your exercise program is the
key. Even if you bounce back quickly from your baby’s birth and
are feeling very energetic, be sure to start slowly and increase
your exercise level gradually. Too much too soon can set you
back by causing you to feel exhausted later on in the day. This
can lead to grouchiness or a bout of the baby blues, neither of
which will motivate you to continue exercising! Remember the old
adage, “always leave ‘em wanting more.” This should be your
fitness mantra in the first few postpartum months. In other
words, stop before you’ve had enough and you’ll be more likely
to continue with your fitness program the next day.

6) Wear your baby often. Using a sling or carrier to keep baby
close during the day will make your baby happier, plus it will
give you a little extra weight to pack around as you do your
daily chores and activities. It may not seem like much, but as
your baby grows you’ll be increasing the amount of weight you’re
carrying while you go about your daily routines. And that adds
up to extra weight loss for you.

Instead of using a stroller when you take a walk, put baby in
the carrier. Instead of putting her in a swing or rocking seat,
rock her to sleep in your arms or in your baby carrier while you
stand and gently bounce to and fro. When you go to the grocery
store, carry her in a sling instead of putting her in the
shopping cart. In fact, if you’re lucky enough to live within
walking distance of your grocery store, you can even make this a
daily outing to pick up a few items each time. Your baby will
enjoy the extra closeness of being in a sling or carrier as you
do laundry, tend the garden, or even take some time out for a
hobby like bird watching. Babies in our society seem to spend so
much time strapped into various pieces of equipment. Most will
love the opportunity to be closer to the person they most
adoreyou!

The bonus for mom is that extra weight to carry equals extra
calories burned. Over the course of a year this can add up to
significant weight loss, in a very healthy way for all
concerned. Depending on how often you carry your baby, and how
much she weighs, you can easily burn an extra 100-200 calories a
day just by carrying her along for part of your day. Anytime
you’re on the go, try to carry your baby with you and you’ll be
getting the benefit of the increased calorie burn that comes
with packing around an extra 10, 15, or 20 pounds.

And there you have it, six painless ways to lose those extra
pregnancy pounds effortlessly and without stress. Remember, your
baby won’t be small for long so try not to get too preoccupied
with weight loss. If you eat well most of the time, get some
moderate exercise on a regular basis, and follow the rest of the
tips in this article series, you’ll get back in shape with
hardly a second thought.

Healthier Living and Organic Farming

Gepost door admin op 30/04/2008

A large part of organic agriculture involves the health of the soil and the ecosystems in which crops and livestock are raised. Foods certified as organic must be produced using growing methods that minimize soil erosion and that maintain or enhance the fertility of the soil. All the chemicals in the world can’t nourish a garden as well as healthy organic compost.

Look for natural and organic alternatives to chemical fertilizers, such as the use of compost. Natural fertilizers, compost and organic materials encourage native earthworms. The soil’s organic matter contributes to good soil structure, and water-holding capacity. Improve the soil with organic matter and fertilizers to develop the best soil for growing seeds and plants.

The availability of nutrients from organic fertilizers depends on their breakdown by soil organisms, which in turn depends on weather and soil conditions. Their nutrients are not available to plants until the organic matter has decomposed. In reality, you can’t have a good organic garden without a good composter.

The use of disease resistance must be emphasized within an organic program. In current organic production systems, growers are not permitted to use conventional synthetic organic fungicides in their disease management program. The national organic program rules prohibit the use of conventional pesticides, petroleum, or sewage-sludge-based fertilizers, bioengineering or ionizing radiation and synthetic substances. But, there are several general things any organic gardener can do to beat those pests naturally.

Many believe that organic foods contain a higher level of nutrient minerals and much lower levels of heavy metals. As a result, the industry has understandably grown from experimental garden plots to large farms with surplus products sold under special organic labels.

Today, organic foods are available at supermarkets and farmer’s markets, in restaurants and through mail-order suppliers, even here on the web.

Buying organic will insure that the food products you consume contain no genetically modified organisms, and are free from irradiation.

Purchasing locally grown, organically produced fruits, vegetables and meat assures you of having the very best food available for your family’s table. Buying hemp, organic cotton and recycled products like home furnishings, baby clothes, and natural beauty products aid conservation of natural resources. Growing organically takes more time, requires more knowledge and skill, and, for now, costs more.
