Hygienic flooring is a relatively new type of flooring; it’s similar to any other type of flooring except for the fact that it is finished with a special agent for killing and preventing the spread of bacteria. Advancements in technology have meant that this can be added at the time of manufacture and is a permanent finish, meaning it will never rub off no matter how many times it is scrubbed or cleaned. The obvious place for such materials is the floor and surfaces in kitchens, hospitals and possibly bathrooms. However, it also has its uses in other areas, below are some suggestions for any leftover hygienic flooring that aren’t always the first to spring to the front of one’s mind! Car Boot - Car boots fill up with all sorts of different things - maps, shoes, trainers, sports equipment, books, empty food packets and many more weird and wonderful things. By laying a small sheet of material that has been treated with a hygienic finish, the risk of bacteria spreading and festering is reduced resulting in your car smelling not quite so bad! Garage Floor - An extension to most people’s homes, the garage can see a lot of footfall, especially from pets, cats and dogs, we mean you! Hygienic flooring can protect your pets from any type of mould they may choose to otherwise eat, it can also stop germs spreading when pets choose to relieve themselves in their as opposed to outside. Porch - Shoes that are left in the porch can fester and become havens for bacteria. Lessen the chance of it reaching your house by laying some treated flooring in there as it can be extremely effective at preventing the spread of mould. Hopefully these suggestions have sparked some ideas in your mind and have also helped point out the benefits of using hygienic flooring.
